The
following “Notice Of Motion” was brought forward by School Board Trustee Barry
Forward to be voted upon at the next Public North Vancouver School Board
Meeting on March 27th:
Notice of Motion (brought
forward by B. Forward, received by Chair Stratton for addition to the March 27,
2012 Public Meeting agenda):
"That the North Vancouver Board of education investigate the
complete costs of constructing a Covered Play Area at Highlands Elementary
School during the months of July and August 2012, and that two options be
presented to the Board for approval at its April 2012 Board meeting."
We are
very encouraged by this motion! We are hopeful that the School Board will pass
this motion and then approve the resulting covered area proposed options. This
is a public meeting, so anyone can attend to help demonstrate your
support. This public Board meeting will take place on March 27 at 7pm at
the North Vancouver School Board Office, 721 Chesterfield Avenue, North Vancouver.
The entrance to the Board Room is located at the rear of the building, accessed
through the parking lot on West 8th Street at Chesterfield
Avenue.
